This scholarship program is a CyberCorps Scholarship for Service program at UIUC that provides funding for full tuition and a generous stipend to students who want to specialize in cyber security/privacy.

Therefore, if you are interested in cyber security/privacy, please visit http://publish.illinois.edu/cybersecurityscholars/ to learn more about the program and apply for the scholarship.

The application deadline is March 31, 2023.

If you are interested in applying, please attend the information session on Thursday, March 2, at 5:00 to 6:45 pm in 2405 Siebel Center. Pizza will be provided!

To be eligible to apply:

  • You must be a US citizen or permanent resident.

  • You must be either a College of Engineering undergraduate or graduate student with a focus on cyber or information security and privacy (undergraduates must be within 4 semesters of completing their degrees to apply), or a School of Information Sciences graduate student in the MSIM or PhD degree program.

  • You must have been admitted as a full-time degree-seeking on-campus student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. (Transfer students are eligible to apply after they have been admitted to the UIUC College of Engineering and have completed at least one semester on campus.)

The goal of this program is to increase the number of cybersecurity professionals in the US government. They are especially interested in recruiting veterans, women, transfer students, first-generation college students, and students from underrepresented groups.

ICSSP scholars receive a full tuition waiver, a stipend, an allowance for books and course materials related to security coursework, and travel support for federal SFS job fairs and cyber security conferences.
