Capital One’s Illinois Digital Campus Lab at the University of Illinois Research Park is looking for Tech interns to join its intern program during the Spring academic semester and/or Summer Session. Interns working during the academic year are expected to log 10-20 hours per week in the lab during normal business hours. Summer interns work full-time, 40-hours per week, on-site. The iDCL is one of 8 research and development centers at the bank. What makes the iDCL unique is its standing as the first and only “lab” located on a university campus. We like to consider ourselves as the “tip of the spear” focusing on a project model of Research + Proof of Concept. Focusing on a project model rather than a specific functional area inside our technology business affords us the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting topics – Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, Mobile Development, UI/UX, Frontend Web Dev, Backend Web Dev, APIs, Machine Learning, etc.

Qualifications:

Currently enrolled as a full-time student at the University of Illinois Computer Science or Engineering major is preferred but not required.
Solid technical / programming background required to aid the matching process of intern to project and vice versa
